Every day in December, we here at Destination Android are celebrating the best games released in 2017, starting with No. 31 on the first with a new ranking each day all the way to the end of the year with our first ever Game of the Year award.

Burgle Bros is a co-op planning and heist game that comes from the mind of Tim Fowers under his studio, Fowers Games. If you like burgling, heisting, the thrill of crimes in general and the overall concept of mobile board games, then this one is for you.

A team of one to four thieves, all with unique traits and skills, is tasked with stealing everything in any given board (which are randomly generated) and getting out without getting caught by guards. The primary goal is simple: get to the safe, crack the safe and get out with the loot.

The game is easy to pick up and play, but has a good amount of depth for serious players. There is no online play, so it’s pass-and-play multiplayer, but for solo players, the AI has been more than competent in making for a good play experience.

What makes Burgle Bros special, aside from the fact that all the mechanics work well together without any serious frustration, is the great charm and polish on the game’s characters, flavor text and more. It’s a nice-looking game that’s a joy to play and if you aren’t sold on it yet, you probably won’t be.

Burgle Bros is $4.99 on Google Play.
